My Heroes
is an inspirational tale of love, dedication,
sacrifice and service. Jack Ferrell's recall of names, dates,
places and events is truly amazing. His description of his days
as a NAVCAD reminded me of my own experiences as an Air Force
Aviation Cadet (minus the thrill of carrier operations) and it
was easy to imagine myself in the cockpit of his airplane when
he vividly described his combat missions. I have known Jack for
fifteen years but until reading this book I was unaware of many
of his personal exploits and achievements. He is now one of MY
heroes. Jack's wife, Sue, was the epitome of the military wife
who survived frequent moves and lengthy family separations due
to duty requirements while managing the household and nurturing
the children. There is a special place in heaven for Sue and
those like her.
